Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell played one of the greatest ODI knocks of all time against Afghanistan on Tuesday, 7 November in Mumbai. Maxwell, became the first ever player in the history of ODI cricket to hit a double century while chasing a target.

Despite facing cramps that stopped him from running, Maxwell hit 201* off just 128 balls, guiding Australia to the semi-final in World Cup 2023. The cricketing fraternity was left in awe of the player and took to social media to express their disbelief at what Maxwell had just pulled off.
Maxwell took to Twitter and posted a heartfelt message next morning.
“Pretty overwhelmed with all the love. Thank you so much to everyone that has sent messages. Pat Cummins was amazing out there! Sorry I knocked back a couple. Time to get back to dad duties,” the all rounder tweeted.
