The German government has announced full assistance for the rehabilitation of the flood-affected areas and people of Pakistan.
In Berlin, Federal Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel met the Parliamentary Secretary for Economic Affairs of Germany, in which they discussed the flood disaster and rehabilitation work in Pakistan.
The Parliamentary Secretary for Economic Affairs assured the Federal Minister that the German government is standing with Pakistan in the difficult times for the rehabilitation of flood-affected areas.
He said that the government will provide full support for the rehabilitation of flood affected areas and victims.

The Federal Minister of Health said that there are more than six lakh pregnant women among the flood victims, for whom the government is taking steps to help and care for them.
Earlier, a debate was held in European Parliament’s plenary sessions in Strasbourg regarding the humanitarian situation following the climate-induced devastating floods in Pakistan.
The debate was aimed at discussing the EU response to the situation in Pakistan and how to mitigate the extreme weather consequences of the climate-induced crisis, said a readout from the Foreign Office issued.
