KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah has removed the assistant commissioner (AC) and station house officer (SHO) of Gadap Town over Bahria Town’s firing incident, in which a man was injured.
According to a statement, Provincial Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said CM Sindh removed the Gadap Town SHO for “not maintaining peace and order in the area”. The Chief Minister has also ordered a complete inquiry into the incident.
“We will not allow anyone to be wronged. The rights of the local people will be completely protected,” the statement added. Meanwhile, PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto has also taken notice of the incident that took place between local residents and BTK officials.
Earlier today, Nasir Hussain Shah along with MPA Sajid Jokhio and other PPP leaders also went to meet the people who were affected by the bulldozing. He assured them that action would be taken against those responsible for the incident.
The Sindh government has also sought details from the deputy commissioner and revenue officials in this regard. “We are with the residents of the area. Action will be taken according to the law,” Nasir Shah added.
