KARACHI: The Sindh government’s spokesperson, Murtaza Wahab, has said that the provincial government has fulfilled its promise to publicise verified Joint Investigation Team (JIT) reports.
Addressing a press conference today (Tuesday), Murtaza Wahab said, “We vowed we would present official documents and have done exactly that.”
Earlier today (Tuesday), Federal Minister Ali Zaidi alleged that the provincial government had omitted some information from Uzair Baloch’s JIT report.
He had also appealed to Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmed to take suo moto notice of the Uzair Baloch JIT report released by the Sindh government, which he alleged was different from the “original”.
In this regard, Murtaza Wahab said, “We showed the documents with all the signatures. The official documents, with all the signatures, don’t show any involvement of PPP leadership.”
“Ali Zaidi only talked about the speculations being made on social media platforms,” he added. Murtaza Wahab also questioned where Ali Zaidi was getting these purported reports.
Commenting on JITs, Murtaza Wahab informed that the JITs were formed on the directives issued by the provincial government. “All members finalise a report, with signatures of the JIT members, and send it to the Home Department.”
“So now the question arises that if a document does not have all the signatures, where did it come from, who gave it to Ali Zaidi, or is he creating them?” he questioned.
The provincial spokesperson said that fake documents were also generated in past in order to defame different personalities.
Earlier on Monday, Lyari gangster Uzair Baloch, Nisar Morai and Baldia Factory Fire incident’s Joint Investigation Team (JIT) reports had been made public by the Sindh government.
