An Egyptian vendor named Rabie gained fame for his compassionate act when he saw humanitarian trucks heading to Palestinians in Gaza. Moved by the plight of the starving Gazans, Rabie, who was selling oranges on the street, spontaneously threw his oranges onto the passing trucks. In a remarkable turn of events, Rabie, also known as ‘Uncle Rabie,’ performed Hajj on Friday, June 14.
Video footage that went viral shows Al-Fakhani Rabie Hussein, a 53-year-old father of six, overcome with emotion as he threw his oranges into the aid trucks. In a separate social media video, Uncle Rabie expressed his deep sentiments: “The trucks were passing from here, and I did everything that God has given me the power to do. I would have done more if I found anyone who could carry the boxes with me. I swear, I would have gone there myself if that was an option.”

He added, “I wish them victory, I wish them happiness, I wish they can rebuild their country. I am ready to go and rebuild it with them, to carry the weight off their shoulders and to do everything we can.”
