As we approach the midpoint of 2023, it’s worth exploring some of the top Netflix movies that are yet to be released this year.
The Mother (May 12)
Jennifer Lopez starrer action film will kick off Netflix’s summer 2023 and is slated to release next month in which Lopez plays a deadly ex-assassin who must come out of hiding to save her estranged daughter while dangerous assailants pursue them.
Extraction 2 (June 16)
Chris Hemsworth as Tyler Rakes is back and ready for another high-stakes mission in this intense new action thriller film.
Heart of Stone (August 11)
Gal Gadot stars as Rachel Stone, a CIA agent and the only woman who stands between her peace-keeping organization and the loss of their most powerful and dangerous asset. Jamie Dornan and Sophie Okonedo also star in the movie.
Damsel (October 13)
Damsel is one of the most anticipated new Netflix movies of the year thanks to its awesome cast, including Millie Bobby Brown and Angela Bassett.
The movie is about a ‘dutiful damsel who agrees to marry a handsome prince, only to find the royal family has recruited her as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt. Thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon, she must rely on her wits and will to survive’.
Pain Hustlers (October 27)
Chris Evans and Emily Blunt star in an upcoming conspiracy drama movie about a failing pharmaceutical startup. Blunt plays a woman who loses her job and goes to work at the startup, only to learn that it’s part of an elaborate racketeering scheme. Catherine O’Hara, Jay Duplass, Andy Garcia, Brian D’Arcy James, and Chloe Coleman also star.
Rebel Moon (December 22)
Rebel Moon is one of Netflix’s biggest movies being released this year. The new film from director Zack Snyder is touted as an epic space opera about a peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that must dispatch a mysterious woman named Kora to find seek help from other planets when a terrifying army threatens them.
The cast includes Sofia Boutella, Djimon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Michiel Huisman, Bae Doona, Ray Fisher, Charlie Hunnam, Anthony Hopkins, and more.
