RAWALPINDI: Four civilians were injured after Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing in the Jandrot Sector along the Line of Control (LoC), the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.
The ISPR, in a statement, said: “Indian Army Troops initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation in Jandrot Sector along the LOC targeting the civilian population.”
Four civilians, including, two women and children were critically injured in the Dera Sher Khan, Sandhara, and Bamroch villages, the ISPR said.

According to the military’s media wing, the injured people were evacuated to a nearby medical facility.
The injured were identified as Nasreen, 26, of Sandhara village; Munshi, 7, from Bamroch; Momna, 7, and Rabia, 24, from Dera Sher Khan.
On May 18, three civilians were injured after Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing in the Nikial sector along the Line of Control (LoC), the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) had said.
According to a statement issued by the ISPR, the unprovoked shelling by Indian troops took place in the Nikial sector in Khanni and Ooli villages.
“Indian Army forces initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation using mortars and automatics in Nikial Sector along LOC deliberately targeting the civilian population. Due to indiscriminate fire in Khanni and Ooli villages, three innocent civilians sustained severe injuries, ISPR said.
