PESHAWAR: Police continued its crackdown on drug peddlers and narcotics dealers and arrested four suspects from various parts of Charsadda.
City Police launched an operation and arrested one suspect for peddling narcotics and three others for selling methamphetamine (crystal meth). Around 530 grams of meth and two kilogrammes of cannabis were seized from their possession. The suspects have confessed to their crimes in the initial investigation.
Police received an anonymous complaint and conducted a successful raid against the suspects. Two suspects were arrested during snap checking at Sardaryab checkpoint. Police seized two kilogrammes of cannabis and 20 grams meth from a suspect on a motorcycle identified as Bilal.
In another successful operation, three men in a car were arrested and 510 grams of meth was recovered from their possession. The suspects were identified as Liaquat, Mujahid and Wahab Shah. They hailed from Takht-e-Bhai and were attempting to smuggle the substance.
