KARACHI: A case of a fake police encounter in which a youth was killed in the Orangi area has been registered in which former SHO Orangi Town Azam and other accused have been named.
According to details, Karachi police registered a case of fake police encounter at Orangi Town police station. Former SHO of Orangi police station, policeman Tauheed, and his friend have been named in the case while Tauheed has been arrested.
The lawsuit filed by the victim’s uncle Badshah Khan includes murder, attempted murder, terrorism, and other related provisions. Inter student and transporter’s son Arsalan was killed in a fake police encounter near Orangi Town police station.
In this regard, DIG West Nasir Aftab said that we have formed a three-member committee to investigate the fake police encounter which will be headed by SSP Central. An impartial investigation report will be submitted within 24 hours.
A fake police encounter took place near Orangi Town police station on Monday night. A Karachi police spokesman said that the SHO said that one of the accused was killed while the other escaped.
Karachi police claimed that weapons and 5 bullets were also recovered from the possession of the slain accused. Haji Liaqat, the father of the deceased youth and residents of the area said that the police martyred the young student in a fake encounter.
The father of the deceased is from Waziristan who said that SHO Azam allegedly refrained from talking to the media after the fake encounter.
While strongly condemning the fake encounter, the father of the deceased youth said that his son was studying in Inter and went to the coaching center with his friend who was killed by the SHO of Orangi in a fake encounter.
