KARACHI: Former Balochistan Senator Usman Khan Kakar, who was earlier shifted to Karachi hospital, has passed away.
The former Balochistan senator was in a critical condition after suffering a brain haemorrhage. Kakar, who is also a leader of the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), was airlifted from Quetta and shifted to Agha Khan Hospital, Karachi yesterday.
KkMAP chief Mahmood Khan Ackakzai has offered his condolences over his demise and prayed for the Al-Mighty to grant him a place in heaven. Achakzai had also visted Kakar in Quetta before he was shifted to Karachi.

North Waziristan MNA Mohsin Dawar also offered his condolences. “It is a devastating realization that our beloved Usman Kakar is no more. In his death, He has left a vacuum that will be very difficult to fill,” he said.
Earlier, a statement by his manager said that Usman Kakar’s “ his condition remains the same” despite being more than 72 hours in a coma. “This lack of improvement is deeply disturbing for family & well-wishers. He needs your prayers & good wishes more than ever,” he added.
Usman Kakar fell in his house on Thursday leading to a brain hemorrhage and was injured. He was admitted to a private hospital where he underwent surgery. Doctors placed him on a ventilator due to the severe head injury and trauma.
The Sindh government had also agreed to bear his medical expenses. Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has issued a letter to Agha Khan Hospital for medical treatment of Usman Kakar.
Usman Khan was a political worker and human rights, activist. He was a member of the Senate from March 2015 to 2021.
