KARACHI: The release of former chairman of Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) Moeen Aftab Shaikh has been challenged in the Sindh High Court.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) challenged Moeen Aftab Shaikh’s release in the accountability court earlier on Saturday on the basis of a lack of evidence in a corruption case worth Rs900 million.
Shaikh along with the former director Sameen Asghar and contractor Abdul Rasheed had been accused in the same case. These accused had caused a heavy loss to the national treasure.
The case was filed against Shaik in 2010 by the anti-corruption which was later transferred to NAB over directives of the Supreme Court.
