ISLAMABAD: Foreign ministry has requested the Britain government to deport former premier Nawaz Sharif to Pakistan.
The letter which is written by the foreign ministry after consultations with the Punjab government states that the bail period of Nawaz Sharif expired and he should be deported back to complete his sentence period.
The letter added that the former premier traveled abroad ion the medical grounds after being granted bail by the Lahore High Court. Since November, he has been staying in London, the letter added.
The Punjab government had already decided last week not to grant Nawaz Sharif further exemption. He was only given a 20-day bail in November since then he has not returned back to Pakistan yet.
Medical reports of Nawaz Sharif claimed that he has been diagnosed with complicated coronary disease.
