Dense fog and low visibility at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport have caused significant disruptions in flight operations, leading to the cancellation of one flight and delays for seven others. Authorities have also closed several sections of the motorway due to poor visibility.
Below flights were cancelled or delayed due to fog:
- Cancelled Flight: Airblue flight PA 402 from Karachi.
Delayed Flights
- Airblue flight PA 417 from Dubai: 12-hour delay.
- A foreign airline flight HH 7207 from Mashhad: 3-hour delay.
- Serene Air flight ER 524 from Karachi to Lahore: 1-hour delay.
- Saudi flight SV 739 from Lahore to Jeddah: 10-hour delay.
- Airblue flight PA 410 from Lahore to Dubai: 6-hour delay.
Meanwhile, dense fog has also affected several sections of motorways across Punjab. Visibility in some areas has dropped to as low as 100 meters. The Motorways Police have issued advisories for drivers to use fog lights and exercise caution. The following closures are in place:
- M-2: Lahore to Kot Momin.
- M-3: Lahore to Abdul Hakeem.
- M-4: Faisalabad to Pindi Bhattian.
- M-5: Multan to Uch Sharif.
- M-11: Lahore to Sialkot.
