The Foreign Office (FO) of Pakistan has condemned the ‘irresponsible remarks’ made by newly appointed Indian Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat.
According to a statement issued by FO Spokesperson Aisha Farooqui, said that the remakes represented the extremist mindset and bankrupt thinking which took over the state institution of India.
Earlier on Friday, General Rawat in his remarks had admitted that India was working to put Pakistan on the black list of Financial Action Task Force (FATF). He also called for blacklisting and diplomatic isolation of Pakistan and said that any country that is sponsoring terrorism has to be taken to task.
The spokesperson said, “As a perpetrator of unabated state-terrorism in the Indian occupied Kashmir, India is in no position to pontificate on the issue of terrorism.”
The spokesperson added that the General Rawat’s remarks on FATF were further proof of India’s “repeated attempts to politicise FATF’s technical proceedings for advancing its narrow, partisan objectives”.
Aisha Farooqui added that the talk by Indian General about “deradicalisation camps” for children in Kashmir was “simply despicable.”
