NEW YORK: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari held a meeting with his US counterpart Antony Blinken in New York on Wednesday.
The US Secretary of State said that strong trade and economic cooperation between the two countries would be discussed with the Pakistani FM and talks on regional security are also included in the meeting.
Pakistan is chairing the G77 which will enhance the bilateral ties, Antony said.
He further said that he was happy to work with the Pakistani government and Bilawal. The issues of food security which has a global challenge will also be discussed, he added.
Referring to the war between Russia and Ukraine, he said that the issue of food security has become more serious since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, with more than 40 million people suffering from food security problems. We are grateful for Pakistan s participation in the efforts to take concrete steps to address this issue.

The US Secretary of State said the focus is on strengthening bilateral economic and trade ties and regional security.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari held a bilateral meeting with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in New York.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on matters of mutual interest.
Bilawal reached New York on a commercial flight and was received by Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN Ambassador Munir Akram and Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US Masood Khan.
