LAHORE: Flour has become more expensive as the price has been increased by Rs 5 which means it is being sold at Rs 175 per kg.
New prices have been implemented by the Flour Mill Owners Association, citing expensive wheat and electricity as the reason for the rise in flour prices.
According to market sources, wheat is being sold in the market at 4,900 to 4, 920 rupees per maund, in the last week the price of wheat has increased by 150 to 200 rupees per maund, while the production costs of wheat are also increasing due to the high cost of electricity.
Meanwhile, a bag of 20 kg flour is available in the market for Rs 2750 to Rs 2850, while open red flour is being sold at Rs 140 and white fine flour is being sold at Rs 150 per kg.

According to market sources, prices of bags of flour are also likely to increase. On the other hand, the people say that inflation has already become a headache, now the problems have been increased by increasing the price of flour, bread is a basic need of human beings, at least the government should control the prices of flour so that the poor
