BRISBANE: Australia on Saturday scored 395-3 on the third day of the first Test against Pakistan.
Australia had a 155-run lead over the visitors so far in the series opener.

Naeem Shah bagged his first Test wicket as he beat David Warner, who was batting at 151 overnight, caught behind for 154. Shah, who stayed on tour despite the death of his mother last week, was mobbed immediately by his teammates as he celebrated his maiden Test wicket.

Steve Smith, who was heading into the Test series on the back of a successful Ashes campaign, was cleaned up by Yasir Shah for four.
Smith lasted just 10 balls before he was bowled by leg-spinner Yasir Shah for four runs, by far his lowest Test score in eight innings since he and Warner returned from their one-year bans for the 2018 ball-tampering incident.

It was the seventh time in six Tests that Yasir had dismissed the former Australia captain.

However, Marnus Labuschagne then took command of the scoring as he went on to score his maiden Test ton. He reached the hundred in fortuitous fashion with a thick outside edge for his 12th four. The 25-year-old will resume on 102 not out alongside Matthew Wade, who was unbeaten on 29.
