KARACHI: Police today (Monday) have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against a man for threatening K-Electric employees in a viral video.
According to details, the police registered the FIR on a KE employee’s complaint against the man, within the jurisdiction of Gulistan-e-Johar police station.
The man has been identified as Ashraf. The registered FIR also includes provisions related to disrupting the government’s work and issuing threats. The FIR also nominated five others along with the man suspect.
The plaintiff informed that the K-E employees were removing illegal connections in Gulistan-e-Johar Block 1 on June 29, when the accused interfered in their duties and started abusing them.
In a video, the main suspect had threatened to attack the KE staff and warned them to not enter Block 1 again, otherwise, no one will save them.
The video went viral after it made its way to social media. In this regard, police have carried out raids to arrest the suspect, however, he fled away from the home. Police said that the suspects will be arrested and brought to book soon.
