Federal Minister for Information Ataullah Tarar on Sunday accused the successive PTI governments in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) of nothing but massive corruption. Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, Tarar expressed his intention to release a ‘White Paper’ highlighting the issue.
He criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government in KP for allegedly setting up bogus companies to facilitate corruption. “Those who ridiculed Lahore’s metro bus service, calling it a ‘jangla bus,’ later introduced their own metro bus service in Peshawar,” Tarar remarked.
The minister further stated that, just as the people of KP had given a mandate to PTI, the people of Punjab had given a “clear mandate” to the PML-N. He stressed that the KP government could not deceive the people of the province with empty claims. Tarar pointed out that while the provincial government often boasted about constructing 500 dams, none of them were visible.
“You took revenge on the people of Punjab by appointing Usman Buzdar as chief minister, and now you are doing the same to the people of KP,” Tarar added.
He also claimed that the Punjab government was performing admirably under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
