The federal cabinet has rejected to appoint Mushtaq Mahar as the Sindh inspector general of police (IGP) and seek more names from the province.
Addressing a press conference, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information, Firdous Awan said, “After consultation between Prime Minister Imran Khan and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Mushtaq Mahar’s name was suggested in the cabinet for the Sindh IGP position but cabinet members from the province strongly opposed the idea.”
She said that after the rejections, PM Imran directed Sindh Governor Imran Ismail to discuss more names with CM Murad.
Commenting on Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Firdous Awan said that she had forewarned Maulana Fazlur Rehman of him being used as a ‘tool’.
She said that Fazlur Rehman was used as a tissue paper and thrown away. Both the brothers are busy playing a game of fooling the gullible Maulana, she added.
Referring towards KP’s minister issue, she stated that the recent frictions were resolved and all the members of the party are standing behind PM Imran.
‘Murad Saeed’
Federal Minister for Postal Services, Murad Saeed has claimed that over Rs 24 trillion had been borrowed in the last 10 years.
Murad Saeed said that PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif undertook 25 private visits to London, adding that the official helicopter of Nawaz Sharif had been used by his brother Shehbaz Sharif and his children.
Referring to Asif Zardari, He said that over Rs163 billion were spent on the security of Asif Ali Zardari.
Murad Saeed claimed that Asif Zardari had held three camp offices, which expenses had been paid by the public money.
