ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet, which met here on Tuesday with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in the chair, approved a major energy conservation plan as part of its austerity drive to overcome fuel shortage in the country.
According to reports gathered by MM News from multiple sources, the federal cabinet also discussed ways and means to counter PTI’s Long March. The meeting approved Rs.410 million for the purpose of security arrangements aimed at maintaining law and order in the federal capital.
The federal cabinet is also reported to have condemned issuing arrest warrants of Rana Sanaullah, the Interior Minister who was missing since news of the issuance of his warrants broke on national mainstream media last Saturday. Rana Sanaullah was quoted as telling the cabinet that the Anti-Corruption Punjab Establishment presented wrong facts to get his arrest warrants.
The meeting also discussed missing Cyperh, audio leaks, and investigation into these issues. PM Shehbaz Sharif is reported to have discussed the future political course of action with his allies in the cabinet.
It is reported that ministers representing different political parties suggested various options to the Prime Minister about tackling Imran Khan’s Long March.
