ISLAMABAD: Chairman Federal Board of Revenue Shabbar Ali Zaidi has announced to initiate a panel audit of the sugar industry to improve tax compliance.

In a tweet posted by Shabbar Ali Zaidi said that the FBR has decided to initiate a panel audit of the Sugar industry in order to improve Tax Compliance and Ensure Transparency in reporting mechanism.

It is further clarified that FBR has decided to initiate panel audit of the sugar industry under section 32A of the Sales Tax Act,1990 in order to improve tax compliance and ensure transparency in reporting mechanism.
Earlier on 1st November, Shabbar Zaidi, in a post on Twitter, said that FBR had collected Rs320 billion during the month of October 2019 and an increase of 16 percent overall has been maintained over last year. The domestic taxes were increased by 25 percent.
