ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhary has recalled his advise to follow the model of Hong Kong Police.
Fawad Chaudhary in his tweet on Sunday expressed satisfaction on Islamabad and Motorway Police on the implementation of the model.

Fawad Chaudhary wrote, “Few days back I advised to implement police model of Hong Kong, using cameras in uniforms to capture footage and unwanted behavior.”
Fawad continued,” I am delighted to see executed by Islamabad and Motorway Police.”

Earlier, Fawad Chaudhary suggested that every policeman should carry a camera on his pocket and every investigation and ‘Naka’ checking must be recorded.

Fawad Chaudhary advised “Moreover, every police station should record the comments of visitors on the application to give a good analysis of that station.”
It is pertinent to mention that, Hong Kong Police in the year 2017 decided to increase the use of body-worn video cameras.
By 2021, every front line uniformed police officer will be equipped with one.
Security Undersecretary of Hong Kong John Lee Ka-chiu said the use of body cameras can help with investigations, relevant prosecution work and trials.
He said that “90 per cent of the cases in 2016, when the camera was on, the subjects stopped over-reactive behavior and became calm when being video-filmed – it reduced confrontations.”
