Pardon me, but it would not be unfair to say that the Pakistani nation, including myself, has a lot of ideal time on our hands. We need to accept this bitter reality. We just won a cricket match from our arch-rival India, but soon after the entire nation was busy making all kinds of hilarious memes to celebrate the victory.
No doubt, the Indians taunted us with ‘Mauka Mauka’ chants for never winning against them in a World Cup match. The jinx was finally broken in Dubai and India was forced to swallow their pride. But does this mean we will sit the whole day with such unproductive activities? We need to create good memories and celebrate in a positive way. But unfortunately, we often find the worst in our joyous moments.
For example, social users said the historic victory by our national team was due to the prime minister’s absence from the country. Now I understand that the prime minister has made our conditions miserable in the past three years, but it would still be unjust to link him with the win. No doubt the prime minister is performing Umrah and attending weddings at taxpayer’s expense, but even he has the right to have some fun and should be spared.
Speaking of entertainment, remember watching shows where they played pranks on a passerby in the streets and then tell them to wave at the camera. Yes exactly, the prime minister played a similar prank on the entire nation. We took it seriously and now have to suffer the consequences. Remember the time when he stood on the container and loudly proclaimed that when the dollar value rises, the debt also rises. But now our imported SBP Governor tells the ignorant masses that they receive more money when they exchange a dollar. May God have mercy on us.
A young man got bought a new motorcycle and started driving. He couldn’t stop it and crashed. When locals asked if he was hurt, he claimed, “No don’t worry, this is how I get off”. I may have given a rather absurd example but this is exactly how we are running our country. Now you may even remember that Khan saying, ‘When the price of electricity, gas and petrol increases, then remember that the prime minister is a crook.”
Need I say more, but our memories are still clear when he loudly proclaimed how much money is being stolen from the nation and how many billions of debt have been piled up.
What has changed in the past three years that our condition is getting worse? The thieves have been replaced by even bigger robbers who are now our rulers.
Wasn’t it he who said it is better to commit suicide than go to the IMF? So what’s wrong when we took our begging bowl one more time? We were already suffering from inflation and the nation will face all adversities. Despite our worst condition, it would be unfair to say that Pakistan did the same with India what the prime minister did with the nation. India may be our sworn enemy but still does deserve such curses.
I think that our leader carefully plotted in his entire political career how to bring this nation to this level. How did we reach this condition remains unanswered. If you gave him an opportunity then please repent of face it. If you also exclaim ‘Mauka Mauka’ then your fate will be worse than India.
