ISLAMABAD: Former managing director of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Ijaz Haroon will be presented before an accountability court in the fake bank accounts case.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team will seek remand of Ijaz Haroon to probe the charges of corruption against him.

Ijaz Haroon was arrested by the NAB on 21st November for his alleged role in corruption with the Omni group and the fake bank account.

He has been arrested on charges that he sold 12 plots to fake allottees, which were then used to launder Rs144 million for the Omni Group via two fake bank accounts.

The NAB has submitted are at least 22 inquiries and three investigations underway while three references have been filed in the fake accounts case.
