Following the cessation of hostilities between Pakistan and India, the battle shifted to a propaganda war on mainstream and social media platforms.
Indian mainstream media has made some wild claims in recent days, which made them a laughingstock on the global stage. Now, New Delhi’s social media warriors have come up with equally ridiculous propaganda as they started the “Republic of Balochistan” hashtag trend on X, claiming it was being run by Pakistani Baloch people. However, MM News fact-checking proved it was run by Indian accounts.
A New Country #RepublicOfBalochistan declared her Independence, breaking away from Pakistan! I urge PM @narendramodi ji to recognize their request, recognize their Independence and give full support to The Baloch People. Great Nation must do Great things. pic.twitter.com/hS32p9LB2X

Following the so-called Baloch activist Mir Yar Baloch declaring Balochistan’s independence from Pakistan, “Republic of Balochistan” was trending on the social media platform X on Wednesday in India.
???? BIG BREKING #RepublicOfBalochistan
Baloch declare freedom, seek recognition from UN and India.
Pakistan lost Balochistan.Welcome to the Republic of Balochistan#RepublicOfBalochistan
I love my India ???????? pic.twitter.com/WUZPzX9cTP— Drx Ankur Verma Hindu (@ankurvermaup) May 14, 2025
Indian social media users shared an independent map of Balochistan, along with videos of people waving the Balochistan flag.
Mir Yar also shared photos of Balochi people holding placards as a show of support for India. He wrote, “Dear Narendra Modi ji, you are not alone; you have the backing of 60 million Baloch patriots.”
“The people of the Democratic Republic of Balochistan come to show their full support to the people of Bharat.”
The Mir Yar account is probably fake and likely run from India.
