Sonya Hussyn has labelled Pakisatni women as leaders, achievers, and fighters, and demanded that they are not meant to be humiliated in any way.
The actress posted a story on Instagram in which she described how every working woman faces insults, harassment, slut shaming, and slogans from everyone and anyone on daily basis.
“It’s like we have deemed women to be the children of a lesser God. We need to wake up and address this situation,” she said.
She maintained, “Women constitute half of this country’s population and are not meant to be humiliated in any way. We are leaders, achievers, and fighters.”
According to Hussyn, we are the future of Pakistan and we want to be respected as such. Her statement is an indirect response to the ongoing controversy in which Pakistani actresses has been accused of being used as honey traps by Army officer.
