Evacuation orders issued to illegal residents living on Railways land

Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan issued notices to illegal residents on Pakistan Railways land in Karachi asking them to vacate the land soon.

According to the notice, the land adjacent to and along the Karachi city area till Drigh Colony was housed by illegal residents.

The Pakistan Railways ordered the residents to vacate as soon as possible or action will be taken against them.

The order said, “Actions will be taken by law enforcement agencies if illegal settlers refused to move and pay heed to the orders of the apex court.”

Earlier today, Federal Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed called on Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan in Islamabad.
