Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar has claimed that his party was still in the dialogue process with the establishment and the latter was ready to hold midterm elections in the country after two years.
He made this claim in a statement issued on Tuesday. Akbar said that institutions( establishment) were ready for midterm elections after two years, however, his party and other opposition parties were insisting on immediate elections.
Contrary to PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan’s announcement, Akbar said that PTI’s negotiation with the institutions did not end and is still under process.
Yesterday, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar admitted to the media that contacts with the establishment had ended. He said that there was only one contact, a political solution should have been found slowly and through wise decisions.
There has been a contradiction in the statements of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership regarding negotiations with the establishment.
Akbar said that the founding chairman Imran Khan was happy about the successful rally in Swabi. He further said that the institutions are ready to hold early elections after two years while PTI and opposition parties want immediate elections. Junaid Akbar further said in his statement that there are no differences in the party. He claimed that no government resources were used in the Swabi rally and no money was given to anyone to bring workers to the rally.
