PESHAWAR: A 4.4 magnitude earthquake jolted parts of Swat and Malakand of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Wednesday morning.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the intensity of the earthquake was recorded 4.4 and the epicentre was located in the bordering area of Pak-Afghan and Tajikistan whereas the depth was 10 kilometer.

As the tremors hit cities, people came out of their houses and offices reciting verses from the Holy Quran.
No loss of life and property was reported from any area of the country due to the earthquake.

Earlier in October, a 5.8-magnitude quake struck the Kashmiri city of Mirpur and surrounding areas, resulting in at least 37 deaths and leaving more than 500 injured.
