LAHORE: Star batter and Pakistan captain Babar Azam has a huge fan following and people are always curious about his personal life. The man behind the rise of Pakistan’s stocks in world cricket answered some of the most Googled questions about him.
In a video shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board on Sunday, the 27-year-old cricketer can be heard being candid and spilled some beans about his life.

The first question was where does Babar Azam live? To which the skipper revealed, “Everyone knows, I live in Lahore and the specialty of the city is that you get all types of famous dishes. There are many cricketing legends from this city as well.”
The second question was which bat Babar uses. The No.1 ODI and T20 batter revealed he uses the Gray-Nicolls bat, adding that he plays with bats of different weights depending on the venue. “I carry 6-7 bats with me. The more bats I carry the more confused I get, but I use my best bats,” the skipper revealed.
When the question about his earnings came, the stylish batter cheekily said he would not answer the question. “But it’s less than you think,” he cheekily added.
The next question was regarding his marriage, another question which the skipper managed to dodge. “Even I don’t know that. My family knows, but for now the focus is on cricket,” he added.
About his cricket ideal, Babar said he admired former South Africa international AB de Villiers the most and had followed him from the beginning. “I have tried to copy him many times. He was one of the best during his time. He has performed everywhere, which is why I follow him a lot,” Babar said.
Babar, who finished this month’s T20 World Cup as the highest run-scorer (303), is the current top-ranked T20I batsman in the world. He was also the only Pakistan player in the Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 team of the tournament named by the International Cricket Council (ICC), and was nominated as its captain. From there, he took his team to Bangladesh, where they are currently leading the three-match T20I series 2-0.
