Dubai becomes first Middle East’s country to hire female bus drivers

DUBAI: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced that it has hired three women as bus drivers on various routes in Dubai.
According to the details, the Road and Transport Authority said that the women who have been recruited meet the high standards of driving regulations and standards in the UAE after the training.
Three women have been hired as bus drivers in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, a move aimed at providing opportunities for women in the transport sector.
Dubai officials say three women have initially been recruited to provide opportunities for women in the bus driver sector and create a balance in the sector.
The first phase of this project has been started with the appointment of 3 drivers who have been given permission by the authority to run on 3 routes, this project will be further expanded.
