RAJANPUR: A driver has been accused of raping a woman passenger, who was travelling from Cheech Watni to Kot Mithan, near the Gorchani terminal.
According to details, RPO Muhammad Saleem had taken notice of the rape of a woman passenger by a bus driver near Gorchani terminal where the accused raped her and fled the scene, leaving the bus behind.
The Regional Police Officer (RPO) has taken strict notice of the incident and ordered District Police Officer to submit a report of the incident. The RPO has ordered to form teams to arrest the culprit as soon as possible.
In a similar incident happened earlier this month when a 30-year-old woman was raped inside a passenger bus by the conductor.

The incident happened when six other passengers travelling on the bus stopped to have a meal at a hotel. When the conductor saw the woman sitting on the bus alone, he forcibly took her to the back seat of the vehicle and raped her.
The woman was travelling from Karachi to Bhakkar on her own. The conductor was arrested, police said, adding that when he was interrogated, he confessed to committing the crime.
Police added that the incident came to light when the woman did not get off the bus and a fellow passenger got onto the bus again to check on her. They caught the conductor red-handed raping the woman.
