KARACHI: Special Assistant to the Sindh Chief Minister on Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar has said that drinking water shortage in District West Karachi will be resolved on a priority basis.
He said this while addressing in an open court in district West along with the provincial minister for agriculture Ismail Rahu. On this occasion, residents complained to Qamar and Rahu about the sale of drugs and crimes in their area, adding that police were not taking action against those criminals.
Qamar assured the women complaining against a lack of drinking water facilities that the issue would be resolved on a priority basis. Rahu also directed police officers to take action against drug dealers. The officials directed concerned police officers to take action against drug peddlers.
He further said that if the officers of the district were not solving the problems of the citizens, then the Sindh cabinet would be informed in this regard and action would be taken against the officers concerned.
About complaints that many areas in the district west have been lacking drinking water for 10 years, Qamar and Rahu expressed their anger against the Water Board officials and directed them to resolve the issue by laying fresh water lines.
Qamar said that the Sindh government was serious about solving the problems of the people of Sindh and people’s problems would be resolved at their doorstep.
