NEW DELHI: Voting is going on for the election of the new President of India, NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu and joint opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha have contested.
According to the details, a direct contest is going on between the candidate of the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Draupadi Murmu, and the joint candidate of the opposition Yashwant Sinha. Voting for the presidential election is going on in the Parliament and Legislative Assemblies of Indian provinces, Indian provinces are called states.
As per Indian time, voting started at 10 am today and will continue till 5 pm. Necessary preparations for the election had already been completed while the presidential election is made up of elected members of both the houses of parliament and members of all the provincial assemblies.

According to the law, the presidential election is being conducted by secret ballot in which no party will issue a whip. For the elections, the Secretary General of the National Assembly (Rajya Sabha) PC Ram Ramesh said yesterday that the government emphasizes running the Parliament in a better manner. All parties cooperate but Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself is not present.
Ram Ramesh said that an all-party meeting has started to discuss the Parliament session and the Prime Minister is not present as usual. It should be noted that 37 observers have been appointed to monitor the polling and counting of votes for the presidential election. The number of polling stations is 30.
