LAHORE: Actor Ahsan Khan has expressed that Pakistani dramas should include all forms of abuse stories in order to spread awareness among viewers.
While giving an interview to a channel, Ahsan Khan highlighted his role in the famous drama ‘Udaari’, which challenged social issues like child exploitation. He played the role of a child abuser Khan said, “I think the drama played a key role in normalizing the discourse around child abuse and that was quite fulfilling to see.”
Khan stated that all dramas should include all forms of abuse stories. “Rape, violence, and all forms of abuse are grave issues which should find space in our scripts but the key is to address the problem without sensationalizing it.”

“Yes, we should convey the ghastliness of the crime but also realize that we are walking on a slippery slope,” he added.
Ahsan Khan had played a role as a devious pedophile in a taboo-breaking drama “Udaari” aired in 2016. He himself wanted to play that role to create awareness of such outrageous acts being practiced in society but most people tend to ignore it.
He has worked actively for children’s rights and welfare for some time. He is also a goodwill ambassador for ‘The Citizens Foundation’.
