The newly released drama titled ‘Dobara’ is not only a unique story but with its first episode, the serial has exposed the reality of how society expects a new widow to act a per their demands.
The story narrates the interesting plot where Mehrunnisa, played by Hadiqa Kiani becomes a widow, however, she is emotional less and does not cry to which everyone around her including her sister in law keeps insisting her to cry, don’t smile, don’t comb her hair because a woman who has just lost a husband is not allowed to live freely.
As per the promos, Mehru will marry a man quite younger than her age which will be played by Bilal Abbas. Interesting Bilal has played quite a contrary role in this drama as compared to his previous roles. The title ‘Dobara’ itself gives an insight into the concept of second marriage for women.

The stereotypes of women marrying the second and that too, with a younger man are highlighted in this drama and how society judges you, pressurizes you, to act according to its so-called norms. Written by renowned playwright Sarwat Nazeer, who has written hit projects like Qayamat, the drama stars Hadiqa Kiani and Bilal Abbas Khan as the main leads along with Naumaan Ijaz, Javed Sheikh, Shabir Jan, Nabeel Zuberi, Usama Khan, Sakina Samo, and Zoya Nasir.
