Famous Islamic scholar Dr. Zakir Naik is set to visit Pakistan for 15 days next month, where he will deliver public lectures in Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore. The tour begins on October 5 in Karachi and will conclude on October 20 in Islamabad.
In a post on his official Facebook page on September 20, Dr. Naik confirmed the itinerary, which includes lectures in all three cities. His son, Dr. Fariq Naik, also an Islamic scholar, will accompany him and deliver lectures as well.
Karachi
The tour kicks off in Karachi, where Dr. Zakir Naik will address the topic “The Purpose of Our Life” at Bagh-e-Quaid, near Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s mausoleum. The following day, Dr. Fariq Naik will speak on the importance of understanding the Quran with a lecture titled, “Kya Quran ko Samajh Kar Parhna Zaroori Hai?” (Is it necessary to understand the Quran while reading?).
Lahore
In Lahore, on October 12 and 13, Dr. Zakir Naik will discuss “Al Qur’an – Aalami Zaroorat” (The Quran – A Global Need), while Shaikh Fariq Naik will present “Dawah Ya Halakat” at Minar-e-Pakistan on October 12 at 6:15 p.m. On Sunday, October 13, at the same venue, Shaikh Fariq will give a lecture on “Religion in the Right Perspective,” followed by a Q&A session with Dr. Zakir Naik.
Islamabad
The final stop of the tour will be in Islamabad on October 19 at Jinnah Stadium in the Sports Complex. Dr. Zakir Naik will deliver a lecture on “Muslim Professionals’ Responsibilities,” while Shaikh Fariq Naik will speak on “Islam: A Mercy, Not a Burden for Humanity.” The event starts at 6:15 p.m.
