MUMBAI: Legendary Bollywood film actor Dilip Kumar, who is suffering from bilateral pleural effusion, has been put on oxygen support.
The veteran actor had been admitted to a hospital on Sunday morning after he complained of breathlessness. Moreover, the doctor also confirmed that he is stable and not in the ICU and might get discharged in 2-3 days if all goes well.
An update on Dilip Kumar’s health was given on Twitter from their veteran’s official handle, manages by his manager. “Dilip Sahab has been admitted to non-Covid PD Hinduja Hospital Khar for routine tests and investigations. He’s had episodes of breathlessness. A team of healthcare workers led by Dr. Nitin Gokhale is attending to him. Please keep Sahab in your prayers and please stay safe,” the tweet read.

Last year, Dilip Kumar’s brothers Ehsan Khan, 90, and Aslam Khan, 88, both COVID-positive, were admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital for treatment, where they died.
Dilip Kumar, whose real name is Mohammed Yusuf Khan, is considered one of the best actors in Indian cinema. He is best known for his performances in classics such as Kohinoor, Mughal-e-Azam, Shakti, Naya Daur, and Ram Aur Shyam, to name a few. He was last seen in the 1998 film Qila.
