DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Several militants attacked a police checkpost in Daraband area of Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at 2:00 AM last night, killing at least 2 people. The attack came just a day after two soldiers were martyred during a gunfight in Dera Ismail Khan’s (DI Khan) Darazinda district on Saturday.

MM News has learnt that terrorists attacked a police post in Daraban tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan, killing a policeman identified as Hazrat Hussain, and a wildlife employee identified as Naimatullah.
At least four policemen, Bilal, Imran, Nasrullah and Naqeebullah were injured in the attack that also caused damage to the police picket.
Security forces rushed to the spot to cordon off and carry out search operation in the area, while all of the casualties were shifted to Dera Hospital. DPO Capt (R) Najmul Hasnain, DSP City Iqbal Baloch and DSP Headquarters Syed Asghar Shah also rushed to the scene to take stock of the situation. They later visited hospital to inquire about the well being of the injured personnel.
