ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed optimism and said that despite the coronavirus pandemic, the good news is coming to the economy.
PM Imran Khan took to Twitter and wrote that the remittances reached 2.3 billion last month.

“Despite COVID more good news for our economy. Alhamdulillah, remittances from our hardworking overseas Pakistanis rose to $2.3 bn in Sept 2020, 31% higher than last Sept & 9% higher than August 2020. This marks the 4th consecutive month that remittances have remained above $2 bn,” the prime minister in a tweet wrote.
He said remittances were up 31 percent from last September and more than 9 percent since August, the fourth month that remittances had exceeded 2.2 billion.

PM Imran Khan has also announced to launch a ‘Tiger Force’ against inflation from today, which will be tasked with identifying hoarders. According to sources, it has been decided to make full use of government institutions and state resources to bring down the prices of essential commodities.
