The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested Dania Shah’s husband and social media influencer Hakim Shehzad Lohar in connection with the alleged rape case due to his objectionable video statement.
According to an FIA statement issued from its headquarters in Islamabad on Wednesday, the FIA Cyber Crime Circle Multan arrested Muhammad Shehzad alias Lohar Hakim, who, along with his accomplices, made obscene remarks about the alleged incident of abuse at a private college in Lahore and shared videos on the internet. Dania married Hakim Shehzad in July 2024.
Dania rose to prominence in 2022 after the renowned televangelist announced his third marriage to the youngster, sparking a controversy.
The controversy further deepened when Dania was arrested in a case pertaining to indecent videos which surfaced before Liaquat’s death later that year in mysterious circumstances.
Liaquat’s first wife Dr Bushra Iqbal and her children pursued the case against Dania in a local court in Karachi, which indicted her for leaking the videos and later bailed her against surety bonds worth Rs2 million in 2023.
