KARACHI: Former Pakistan women cricket captain Sana Mir has tested positive for COVID-19.
The 34-year old former cricketer has isolated herself after being diagnosed with coronavirus. The 34-year old cricketer has represented Pakistan in 226 internationals since her debut in 2005 and was a captain in 137 of them. The off-spinner is the leading wicket-taker for Pakistan in ODIs and second-highest behind Nida Dar in T20Is.

Mir is also Pakistan’s third-highest run-scorer in ODIs (1,630) and is among a select group of players to have the double of 1000 runs and 100 wickets in ODIs. She has the rare achievement of having played 100 T20Is.
Last November, Mir took a break from international cricket and had missed Pakistan’s tour of England. Subsequently, she was not named in the T20I squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia earlier this year. She announced her retirement from international cricket On 25th April 2020.
