Pakistan’s fast bowler Haris Rauf has become a father to a baby boy. The news was shared by Shaheen Afridi on the social media platform X, congratulating Haris Rauf on the birth of his son.
Shaheen wrote, “Congratulations to my brother Haris Rauf on the birth of his baby boy.”
He also extended best wishes for Haris’s family, praying for more happiness in their lives.
Other cricketers, including Shadab Khan, also congratulated Haris, though the fast bowler has not made any public statement yet.
It’s worth mentioning that Haris Rauf married his classmate Muzna Masood on December 24, 2022, with their wedding reception held in July 2023.
Last year in July, rumours of Rauf becoming a parent and a picture of a newborn baby made the rounds on social media. But the speedster issued a clarification, saying
“The news about the birth of my child is false. Please avoid spreading and believing such baseless rumours.”
Rauf recently played in the Champions Trophy where Pakistan failed to make their way through to the semi-final. In two games, Rauf picked up only two wickets at an average of 67.50 and an economy rate of 7.94.
Rauf will now take part in the five-match T20I series against New Zealand, starting March 16 at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch. Shadab Khan has made his T20I comeback after the T20 World Cup last year, and has also been named as vice-captain.
