KARACHI: The government authorities have planned to impose restrictions in several areas of Karachi affected with COVID-19.
The government authorities would impose restrictions on movement in three districts of Karachi. Moreover, two union councils of Metroville and Saeedabad in Karachi West district will be sealed too.
According to sources, districts of Korangi and Karachi East as well are involved in the list of being sealed.
The health authorities have also recommended sealing COVID-19 hotspots in Gulshan-e-Maymaar and Khuda Ki Basti Phase-II, sources further said. Moreover, the provincial authorities have also decided to seal 12 localities in Larkana.
The District Administration had earlier sealed the number of Salons and spas in the Clifton area. According to the city’s south deputy commissioner, as per orders from the home department salons and spas will be closed down.
Moreover, around 12,400 violations of standard operating procedures (SOPs) were reported across the country. Around 1,512 markets, shops were sealed and 14 industrial units were fined and sealed while 1,466 transporters across the country were fined.
At least 364 violations of SOPs were reported in Islamabad as a result of which 154 shops were sealed and 147 vehicles were fined.
Similarly, 5336 violations of SOPs were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 257 markets, shops were sealed while 104 transporters were fined.
