A court in Gujranwala has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for PM’s aide Rana Sanaullah, ordering his arrest and appearance before the court on 12th December.
The case against Rana Sanaullah was registered at Gujranwala’s Satellite Town police station. It dates back to October 16th, 2020, the day of a Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) rally in Gujranwala.
The charges against Rana Sanaullah include removing containers and allegedly running over police officers with a vehicle. There was also a delay by the police in submitting the case challan against him. The accused has yet to react to the development.
Additionally, Rana Sanaullah on Friday said that political dialogue was needed to resolve political issues and achieve stability in the country.
Speaking to a private news channel, he urged all political parties to work collectively for political and economic stability. He criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for not believing in democratic dialogue.
Answering a question regarding PTI’s conditions for dialogue, he said that no dialogue could succeed, or even begin, under the guise of threats and blackmailing, accompanied by anti-state narratives and slogans.
He said “We have pulled Pakistan out of an economic crisis and brought economic stability. Now, the focus must be on achieving political stability, which requires sincere dialogue.”
