KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday acquitted two convicts, including notorious target killer Ubaid alias K2, against the life term handed to them in a policemen’s murder case.
A two-judge bench of the high court heard the appeals of the convicts and acquitted them. The court ordered jail authorities to release them if their custody was not required in any other case.
The court ruled that the prosecution failed to provide record concrete evidence for the appellate bench to uphold their conviction. The court had reserved the verdict after conclusion of arguments on October 5.
