KARACHI: The District Municiple Corporation (DMC) West has launched spray and awareness campaigning in the Sindh’s capital to prevent people from the spread of the coronavirus and dengue.
This decision was taken by the Chairman Municipality, Azhar Ullah Afridi and Municipal Commissioner Ashfaq Ahmed Mahal in the meeting where Afridi while presiding over the meeting, instructed the municipal authorities.
“Protecting the public against dengue and coronavirus is our top priority.” Afridi during the meeting said. He further said that neglect and negligence would not be tolerated by any officer or staff during their assigned duties.
The spray for the presentation from coronavirus and dengue should be ensured in mosques, and in the streets of the residential population, he added.
In addition, banners, and pamphlets would be distributed among people to spread awareness of the coronavirus. The public would be alerted about the spread and prevention of the coronavirus through loudspeaker announcements.
Municipal officers briefed the people about the arrangements to keep themselves safe from the coronavirus and said that all the unions have been informed about the arrangements of spraying.
While a lot of action is also being taken to improve the sanitary conditions in the city and extensive action is also being taken to eliminate the stray dogs from the city.
