Coronavirus death toll hits 908,000 worldwide

WASHINGTON: The number of coronavirus infection cases across the world has surged to 28,025,482 and the pandemic has so far claimed over 908,002 lives.

There are 7,013,944 active cases of coronavirus in the world and more than 20,103,536 people have been cured.

The United States is the number one affected country of coronavirus and India is the second. The number of affected patients in the United States has risen to more than 6.549 million, and 195,239 people have lost their lives.

In India, more than 4462,000 people have been affected and 75,091 have died. Brazil is the third most affected country by the Coronavirus, with more than 4,199,000 infected and 128,653 people dying.

Russia ranks fourth among countries infected with the coronavirus, with more than 1,041,000 people infected with the virus and a total death toll of 18,135.

In Peru, more than 720,000 people have been affected, while 30,236 people have lost their lives. Colombia ranks sixth among countries infected with the coronavirus, with 22,053 deaths and more than 686,000 reported cases.

The death toll from coronavirus in South Africa has risen to 15,168, with more than 642,000 people affected. More than 647,000 people have been affected and 69,095 have died in Mexico.
