KARACHI: Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has planned on banning the public gatherings in Sindh’s capital due to the coronavirus.
An emergency meeting of the provincial health department was held earlier today that recommended a ban on public gatherings as one new case of the coronavirus has been reported in Karachi.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the health ministry, district health officers, representatives of major hospitals in Sindh.
In this regard, the closure of all the educational institutes is being imposed for one month.
A ninth case of the coronavirus have been reported in Karachi earlier. The persons who have contracted the coronavirus in Pakistan have risen to 16. One patient has successfully recovered and has been sent home.
Moreover, six people infected with the coronavirus arrived in Pakistan from Doha via Syria. Three patients, on the other hand, arrived in Karachi from London via Dubai.
